Terms of use
Effective July 24, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and QRACKED LLC for the Gratitude Lock iPhone app.
The service
Gratitude Lock lets you shield apps you choose using Apple's Screen Time system and open them for a time window by writing a journal entry. Blocking depends on permissions you grant (Screen Time access) and on Apple's Screen Time framework working as documented; where iOS prevents or delays enforcement, the app cannot override it.
Subscriptions
- Gratitude Lock requires a paid subscription after the free trial. Plans and prices are shown in the app before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Not medical advice
Gratitude Lock is a journaling and screen-time tool. It is not a medical or therapeutic product, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for professional care. Research on gratitude writing shows small average effects on wellbeing; your results may differ.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer the app except where the law permits it, not to use it to violate anyone else's rights, and not to resell access to it. The app is licensed to you, not sold, for personal use on Apple devices you own or control, as also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Your content
Your journal entries are yours. They are stored on your device, we never receive them, and nothing in these terms gives us any rights over them.
Warranty disclaimer and liability
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. QRACKED LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that means you accept them. We may end support for the app with reasonable notice, in which case blocking features stop but your on-device journal remains yours to export.
